Celuán, pleinair watercolour seascape...

A little beach of white sand where the industrial river flows into the sea.. It is quiet, a bit misty, cloudy and warm, and I think that these pastel colors are so typical of Asturias coast..

o algún recoveco entre acantilados antes de llegar...
Creo que la foto debería estar en sepia para emparejar mejor ;) pero los colores no eran tan límpidos, con el típico cielo cantábrico.. y el papel de por sí ya es un poco beige.

Siguen surgiendo acuarelas veraniegas.. mientras los días se acortan y enfrían...
Y ahí estaba yo hace un par de semanas, sentada entre la hierba alta y oyendo el mar a mis espaldas.. ach man!warum ist der Sommer so kurz?
La cosa peluda a mis pies no es una rata, es un perrito, Spree, el mini Dackel.

Again the pinewoods by the coast, where I love to sit and draw. My brother took some pics so you can see how messy my painting spot is ;) I love to hide in the high grass and hear the sea behind.

Atlantic Summer

You may guess I am back in Asturias for the Summer holidays.. I feel good out of the city and enjoying the coast, salty wind, wild sea and the pinetrees scent over the cliffs. Drawings will come at the end of August! Happy Summer you all!

Yes, the last pictures of Christmas in Asturias.. and excuse me, again this view. I love to sit there, my back protected from the North wind and looking to the kind cap at the West. It was windy, the light changed all time, sometimes falling shinny and clear-yellow over the rocks, sometimes deep and dark..

I still have some watercolor drawings from the Summer in Asturias. They are beautiful items that I found in the seashore...
I prepared a Set of 4, for those who don't want to choose and want a whole wall with maritime decor ;)

Wild Coast

Wild sea, wild sky, wild people in Asturias...

I started this watercolour when the August sun was burning... but as I can "smell" Asturias weather, I sat under a big rock to feel protected by sun or by clouds..... few minutes after, the sky was closed and dark, and started raining. I could skip some of the drops, but at last they felt down and mixed with the still wet watercolor making a happening in the paper..

En Asturias todo es salvaje. Mar, cielo, habitantes...

Empecé esta acuarela con un sol de Agosto que quemaba. Y porque me huelo a qué juega el tiempo en Asturias, me senté bajo la cavidad de una gran roca para protegerme del sol intenso o las posibles nubes. Algunos minutos más tarde el cielo se cerró y comenzó a llover. Pude evitar algunas gotas, pero acabaron cayendo sobre el papel y fundiéndose con la acuarela aún húmeda, organizando un espectáculo.

And the same coast forest, a bit more near the coast line (you see the sea at the horizon?) and with a cloudy, stormy day light, typical atlantic.
