El Nuevo Cementerio Judío está bastante cerca de donde vivo, en Frankfurt (a donde me mudé en Diciembre). Aproveché uno de los pocos días radiantes y soleados de este Invierno para pasear y dibujar allí.
Es un cementerio inmenso que data de 1928 y linda con el cementerio principal de Frankfurt. El conjunto es enorme, como un pueblo callado con anchos caminos principales y senderos delgaditos que dividen los campos de tumbas. A veces las lápidas se agrupan caprichosamente, yuxtaponiéndose las unas sobre las otras según el tiempo y la preponderancia. La naturaleza se intercala entre las piedras y los muertos, dando lugar a composiciones silvestres y románticas.
